I won’t tell you fairy tales about myself because I believe design speaks louder than words.
My name is Omer Filan, and for years I’ve been helping brands build clearer identities and a recognizable visual presence. I love simple, modern design and an honest approach to every client. Everything I do is based on integrity, trust and real expertise, not empty promises.
From a young age, I had a deep passion for drawing, creating and imagining art in ways that felt bigger than the small place I came from.
I grew up in a small town in Bosnia and, as a self-taught designer, I began a journey that led me from a difficult and modest life to founding my own studio, Filan Design, now based in Sarajevo. I started with no resources, no mentors and no easy opportunities, just a clear desire to create, learn and improve every single day.

According to Dubai Magazine, my journey stands out not because of numbers or popularity, but because of the consistency, dedication and honesty behind every design I create. They described my work as a blend of precision, intuition and originality, highlighting how a simple idea from a small town in Bosnia grew into a brand trusted by people around the world. What meant the most to me was their recognition that my designs are not only visually appealing but carry intention, meaning and a personal touch that clients can feel.
I’m grateful for every acknowledgment, but even more for every client who places their trust in me to create their brand. Articles and features are meaningful, but my greatest achievement is helping others tell their story through honest and thoughtful design.
Sketches remind me that every great result is built step by step, and that no success exists without vision, persistence and the very first stroke of the hand.
But none of this would exist if I hadn’t started from zero, from paper, from a pencil, from a sketch. Everything I create still begins here, in the simplest and most honest phase of the process. Sometimes it’s pencil and paper, sometimes an iPad, but always the same passion for lines that later become a logo, a story and a brand identity.
Today, my social media platforms count millions of views and likes, and my work is recognized by people all around the world. I became known for my unique style and designs that always spark a reaction, something that has become essential in today’s digital world if you want to stay noticed.
